zags and lsu struggilin. those are two teams that were supposibly "better" and more deserving of the two seed. Guess it goes to show that seeding doesnt matter, just got to come and play.

And that ANYBODY can lose... The mid-majors have proven there is no such thing as disparity in NCAA men's basketball anymore.

Disagree...There is not a lot of difference in a 13, 14 or 15 seed they can all be dangerous....Winthrop is better than a 15 they could have easily been a 13 or 14 seed! :thumbsup:

I would argue with you that what you saw today probably realistically WAS a 4 vs. 13 game.

Game was in Greensboro. Winthrop is in Rock Hill SC but it's almost a suburb of Charlotte - and the local connection and natural pull for underdog and there you go.

A win is a win. UCLA needed a last second shot in round 1 or 2 but ended up winning the NC. Wins are in the past and mean NOTHING going forward.

Plus, all the other fans were cheering for Winthrop too. One Witchita State fan told me that he was pulling for them because their chances of advancing were better playing Winthrop. I'm not sure about all of that.

It was the Vols fans against Duke, State, Seton Hall, Winthrop, George Washington, Southern and UNC-Wilmington fans, but we still won. :biggrin2:
