I do feel a little better about our loss to them. We took a lot of criticism for that loss and now the team that beat UCONN loss as well.

Holly is the best coach in the game right now. We are lucky to have her. Like I said earlier, we need to get her a contract extension and a raise right now before some top-tier teams, like UConn, Notre Dame, or Stanford try to steal her away. Also, if you don't love Holly and agree with what I said you are not a real Lady Vols fan.

Stanford shot 27.7% overall and only 23.5% from 3-pt range in this game. I swear if they shoot lights out against us I will scream! Go LVs!!

Our defense is good enough to hold them at bay, the big question will be our ability to establish an offensive game. I do not believe that they have a big better than Izzy. They will clog the middle and make Izzy work overtime, so the mid and long range shots will need to be around 40% or maybe a little better for us to be sure of a win. The game is winnable.

They have a lot of big slow girls in the middle, two lightning quick guards, and a tall defensive specialist at wing.

If the Tennessee guards play like they did yesterday, they will not win this game. They also need to limit one of the two Stanford guards, which means Ariel better be ready to play some defense.

That was my first thought as well. A shooting performance that poor by Stanford is rare, and back to back dismal shooting is almost unheard of. They couldn't even put up 50 points in this one, now watch them go crazy and score 80 against the Lady Vols.

One thing is certain: If Holly can't beat Stanford now, it ain't ever happening....

When Holly gets to the FF consistently like Tara (she has gotten to everyone since 2007 except one), graduates a multiple-time AA like Chiney Ogwumike and learns to actually coach an offense, let alone actually change one like Tara, then the Holly Warlick ass kissers will have a point with stupid little posts like this.

Agreed. He consistently had the most efficient offense in the SEC while he was at Vandy. I would love to see what he could do with our team.

I didn't follow him closely at OSU so I'm not sure what happened there. I know he had some great players, but I seem to recall some of them had issues....

If you are a betting person, betting against road teams around finals is a solid way to go. Vanderveer thought she could get away with it, even going cross country, aqainst a mid-major, but got burned with her flat team and a good opponent. I don't see how this has any relation to Warlick.

Ariel hasn't played defense in four years, that's why she's not starting.
We should beat Stanford but I still say, Lady Vols losing to UTC is unacceptable.

Right. I forgot Reynolds is a stud defender. :glare: Let's start Reynolds, who can't shoot, and Carter, who can shoot, but can't throw a rock in the ocean right now, and otherwise passes up open shots on every other possession.

In reality there are a small amount of "good" defenders on this team. Graves and Burdick are as bad on defense as Massengale is.

But they all play better defense than Ariel. Ijs And its not like Ariel has been shooting lights out too.

All of them play because of necessity, so whether they start or not, they will prolly be on the floor together.They are all we have
