Hey Whats yalls personal thoughts about Utc you hate them or dont know them or what just give me your thoughts

Other than location and nickname . . . that's about as much as I know.

They are pretty bad football-wise. Finished with a 2-9 record last season, went 2-5 in D-IAA's Southern League.

True MIlo.

As a Chattanooga resident, I can say that the UTC sports programs get absolutely zero fanbase support. Being in the "tri-state" area, there are lots of UTK, UGA, Bama, Auburn, etc fans. AA ball is left behind, and it's pretty sad.

We actually watch our D-IAA team from time to time. :lol:

They actually compete in their conference though... But Big Sky football is pretty good.

Milo, if you start a discussion about the strength of the Big Sky Conference, I am going to gather a posse and come to Oregon and flog you severely.

I thin UTC will be good at football this year. They have had the last two recruiting classes ranked first in the Southern Cenference. Also, they have an awesome stadium...possibly the best in 1-AA.

Yea utc's stadium is nice now that they have redone the grass it looks awsome

UTC is irrelevant, but I will say that they did us a great favor by helping to get Buzz fired.

My daughter goes to UTC and she say's everyone could care less about the football team. Everything revolves around the basketball teams. Also Allison's son goes to the school I work for, and he is always telling me they are looking good this year. I did support them once last year. Saw the slaughter from GA Southern.

I go to Georgia Southern and usually follow the SoCon pretty closely. UTC has obviously been at the bottom of the conference for a while. I was up here for the GSU game last year and talked to some of the students from UTC were actually telling me how they wished they had went to southern because they hate the football program so much at UTC. however i will say that if they have a chance to catch some people off guard and win more games than usual it will be this year. it just depends on how well and how fast all of those transfers gel together. obviously i hope we beat them again this year and win the conference and get back to the playoffs and playing in chatt this december! :rock:

But is it really worth it to have to spend your days and nights in Statesboro??

Just kidding . . . my sister and Brother in law and about a million of my friends went to Southern. :D

:laugh1: actually, yeah its pretty fun down there although it can definetly be an acquired taste. i wouldnt recommend it for people that want to be able to do something different every night. not a lot to do down there except drink and football, but hey, thats my heaven on earth. :D

another Chattanoogan here, I think the Mocs will be better, but don't think they are in the class of Ga. Southern yet..THe need to show the can keep people for scoring 45 on them..I think the best they can hope for his a 6-5 record..I hope they are better..but don't think it will be this year, but i think they are moving in the right direction.

well 6-5 would definetly be an improvement for the mocs, they would have to pull off a couple of upsets to get to 6 this year but yeah, i agree with you in that if the transfers gel together over this year and become a "team" instead of a bunch of individuals, they could definetly pose a problem for several SoCon foes. :question:

well when a team has been as bad for as long as utc has, people are going to tend to look over them for a LONG time until they give a reason to think different of them
