‘23 VA ATH Cameron Seldon (Tennessee Commit)

I'm not sure what Cordarrelle Patterson looked like coming out of high school because I didn't follow him until his CC recruitment, but they seem to have similar measurables. And it sounds like Seldon has similar versitility (even though Patterson didn't really line up at RB while at UT). Just kind of popped into my head when thinking of comparisons. What y'all think?

I didn't go to far back in the thread to see if his name has been mentioned already either.

Hybrid of JJ and Patterson, IMO. Seldon is going to be special. He is a rare combo of speed and physicality. And I can tell he will play with a chip on his shoulder. I'm very excited for this man-child.

I forgot to add that his skillset reminds me of a bigger Velus. Running back frame and running style with WR hands. Unlike Velus, I think Seldon can also excel lined up outside. Completely see why our staff made him a priority. Can you imagine this kid cutting across the field on a slant route and juking LBs and trucking DBs? Goodness, he really is a cheat code.

Lol at James Franklin and PSU for trying to sell him on playing defense. Only a BIG school would try to waste this freak athlete by not putting the ball in his hands. I'm sure he could be a very good. LB and a possibly great safety but he will be an absolutely dominant Swiss Army Knife on offense and special teams for UT. Smart decision for him to choose us. I already want to buy his jersey so he can start reaping NIL benefits.

Yea, I found a few local news stories about him from the end of last year. He lives for playing ball. He basically said there isn't anything else to do in his small down but workout and play football. He said he wouldn't want to do anything else anyways. He does his regular practice and workouts with the team, and then after practice he goes to the YMCA and works out for the rest of the evening. The kid seems is super dedicated. You can just tell he is special. And when they get him in our S&C program, I think he has the mindset and genetics to become a generational talent.

@Plove23 any chance at all that he could graduate early and get here by December? I would love for him to get started with off season training, Spring practice and then Fall camp. I bet the game would slow down for him a little faster if he did. Just myself selfish self wanting him to get his butt on campus. 😂

Just curious who was you a fan of before this? Got to say glad yall are here with volnation now and you'll truly love Neyland, I've been 1 time and the atmosphere was amazing!
Wasn't a fan at all, don't watch a lot of college football. I just Tap in to sportscenter, ESPN etc to see what's happening then I'll watch if it catches my eye.

Lol....yeah he was going to graduate in December, but I think he changed his mind and will graduate in May with his class. But if anything changes I'll keep you informed.

@Plove23....Got a late nite smoke sesh question...Anyone on the team or area getting some exposure with Cam making all that noise?I know it's great for a kid like that to be nationally recognized it def helps everyone around.Just curious if UT specifically or other schools are poking around now?People underestimate what a recruit like Seldon can do for the future of that area.I expect big things in the future bro

Yessir...the whole 4x1 team, 1 or 2 of his teammates committed earlier this year, and some others around the area. It's definitely been great for all those kids, seeing them go to that next level and getting that exposure from a small area.
