Not exactly newsworthy, but a lot of Vols tweeting at him today to wish him Happy Birthday and trying to get him to come join them. Saw HB, KL, and JG to name a few. Long way to go in this one since he's not committing until December 1st.

South Carolina has not recruited as well as UGA the past 15 years, yet look at the record against each other over that time period.

You just have to recruit close enough to them and like you said...(Better QB and Coaching)

coaching is about even from what I cant see so far....still behind in talent.

A five-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Grimes might be a long shot for Tennessee at this point. But the junior from Princess Anne High School in Virginia Beach, Va., announced a top eight less than a week ago that included the Vols, who weren't believed to be much of a factor with the 6-foot, 180-pound Grimes before they recently battled their way back into the picture. He has visited Tennessee in the past, and he still has interest in making another trip to Knoxville, although that now won't happen until at least June. Georgia is the current favorite to land Grimes, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, but the Vols at least have a good in the door in his recruitment and still have plenty of time to make a move.
