As you perhaps saw, Woodbridge (Va.) five-star linebacker Antoine Sampahannounced a commitment to LSU on Monday night.

We had reported in the Monday Insider that Clemson had withdrawn from the recruitment, and our intel pointed to a Sunshine State school as his likeliest destination.

LSU as the pick was a surprise, including to those who cover LSU. After all, Sampah visited LSU for the first and only time during his dozen-school swing early this month.

He returned to Clemson’s spring game a week later and told us that Clemson and Miami were his top two, followed by LSU and Alabama. We knew he was not a take for the Crimson Tide either.

As we have indicated, Clemson would have to go into oversign territory to add another linebacker for this class. And the scholarship numbers for this class make that unlikely

Yeah that's ridiculous. Writers that try to justify losing a recruit like that are clowns.

Thought I was reading OD covering Dyersburg for a moment.

And this is just one example. Their writers do that stuff in just about every single article. UGA and Auburn writers are sunshine pumping homers. UT writers are humbled, pessimistic, I'll have to see it to believe it types. And Clemson writers are that arrogant, new money, inferiority complex type.

Orgeron is a dirty mother and just got a new AD. He makes hay now or is looking for a new job. I can promise you LSU landing a new AD and all of these out of the blue commits and kids that just suddenly have interest isn’t coincidental. This is Freeze at Ole miss all over again.

9-3 is his ceiling. They'll fire him in a few years no matter how many stars he signs. The offseason was always EdO's specialty, so no one should be suprised he's winning the offseason championship now that kids are cooling on Kirby.
