I've liked VTs white unis and helmets up to this point. This one is a swing and a miss

They took significant steps forward when they abandoned Nike modern uniforms for throwback style unis as primary sets.

white outs/black outs/ yellow outs etc --- the fad has worn out like the wave (Penn St did white outs every season the last 4 or 5 years) ... but Va Tech is a little behind the times I guess

No one does the white out as well as Penn St.


Except the NCAA. Their use of white out on Joe Pa's record is the new standard.

You should see the meltdown on the Tech message boards about this garbage. We're quite embarrassed that we are actually wearing them. What was wrong with just our normal VT symbol on a maroon helmet?

NikeBlog.com posted images of the camouflage-inspired helmets and uniforms that the Hokies will wear for their Military Appreciation Day game against Bowling Green on Sept. 22.

The uniforms are a tie-in with a special set of camo hats being sold at the Virginia Tech bookstore, the proceeds from which will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The camo helmets were first seen last April.
