Vanderbilt football : The future starts now

They are all in. Unfortunately they are holding the 3 of clubs and the 7 of diamonds. While everyone else in the conference is holding a pair of face cards.

3 and 7 isn't a bad draw for Blackjack.

on a side note, Vanderbilt is a dead end job, period. Woody Wodenhofer, former Vandy coach is now working the toll booth from the mainland to Destin Florida. No joke, the man took my 2 dollars on Labor Day and I had to do a double take. Said,"hi coach" he smiled and waved me through.

Times must be real lean on Rocky Top if you have to reach that far to dig on someone. I've never understood UT fans' fascination with belittling Vanderbilt. To each their own I guess.

And yes, I for one believe they will eventually turn the football program around. Given their success in Baseball and Basketball, as well as the recent success of also-ran private schools Stanford and TCU in football, there is no reason to think that
Vanderbilt can't succeed with the right coach
and system. Until then have fun dogging
them. Just remember that your ears are
probably burning as well.

Always remember this. That this is Big Orange Country, alaways has always will be! And we will always step on Vandys chest and laugh at them!! They are Tennessee's redheaded step child little brother!! That's fine if all three fans are on their message board talking junk. Because that's all it is, just talk.

Vanderbilt football is so irrelevant, but for some reason I still keep seeing their names pop up on our forum. Let it be. :mf_surrender:

Actually this is the NCAA forum. Maybe you should take your white flag over to the the recruiting forum and tell them they can take down the Kimbrow poll now.

Dislike of Vanderbilt in all things. It's inherited. Hatfields and McCoys. Crow and Blackfoot. Me and Vandy.

Vandy is the Baylor of the SEC, sucking the conference's hind teat. Nobody gives a crap about any sport other than football in this conference except for the parents of the kids who get scholarships for playing those sports and KY basketball fans. Weak little sister evermore. Have some self respect and follow the example of Sewanee and Tulane.

Yeah because fielding a decent football team is just as easy as finding a few good basketball players.

Vandy is still in the SEC for 2 reasons: (a) they were there from the start (b) they help the conference's graduation rate.

Three conference members already left so (a) is a red herring. I'm sure that (b) is an accurate assertion but it's not like the whole conference will be punished if its overall graduation rate dips a few points. Also, isn't Vandy lowering entrance requirements to help Franklin recruit?

Pretty sure Tulane, Georgia Tech and Sewanee choose to leave on their own. Vandy isn't that dumb.

If they want to stick around for the paycheck when they are not willing to do what it takes to be competitive in the conference then they have to accept whatever abuse the fans of their fellow conference members chose to direct towards them. If the galaxy was made of excrement sandwiches, West End would be the largest black hole in the cosmos.
