Vanderbilt @ Hawaii 10:30 EST CBSSN

We haven’t had a real coaching staff that could develop in a decade. That is no longer the case. The days of us losing to Vandy are gone.
I agree, I think we should wait to break out the "they don't trouble us on the field" comments though, at least until we have a winning record against them in the last decade again. Really until we get to a dominant 8-2/9-1 mark in the last 10 years more like.

I can feel it already. Some TN fans are getting a little afraid because Vandy stomped a high school team. 😂😂😂😂😂😂🙄🙄🙄😂🙄
Hawaii is at a disadvantage because of location. That is why NCAA will grant any team outside of their conference a 13th game to play them. Travel costs are exorbitant. I respect their program. Would like to see them play TN. Like SoCal, wouldn’t hurt us to recruit a few Somoans. Good tune up game for Vandy. Great vacation after fall camp.

I haven't seen a college team in any division look as bad as Hawaii did last night in a long long time. You won't see Vandy's defense handed balls to carry into the end zone or their skill positions running without defenders within 10 yards of them for the rest of the year. It's almost impossible not to blow out a team when they are doing that.

Elon is likely better than Hawaii. Next week may be their last win of the season depending on how bad NIU is.

It’ll be a while to hit those marks but in 2 years we can be 7-3. What’s wild is only 2 of those 10 games were single digit games. Even when Vandy won it wasn’t close.

Some of you crack me up. Vandy is not good. Hawaii is just terrible. We have beat Vandy by an average of 23 points the last 3 years. They had their stretch while UT was terrible and that is over. We will hear all this crap about them being good for a few weeks because they play Elon next week. When we get into the SEC schedule reality will set in.

I watched 3 quarters. I'm not disagreeing that Hawaii is bad. Again, both can be true at the same time.

I guess they both can be true, but I don't see how one would conclude that after watching that game. Much like Ball St won't tell us anything when we beat them by a similar score.

Because Vandy was monumentally bad last year. Even if last year's team beats this year's Hawaii (I'm not sure they would), they don't win by 53.

If last year's Vandy was handed 49 points they would likely have beaten Hawaii. My original point was that I haven't seen a D1 team play close to as bad as Hawaii did last night, maybe ever. Which includes last year's Vandy team. Vandy had 4 different running backs average around 10 yards a carry. You think Vanderbilt has anything to do with that?

They are better than they were last year, but not as good as any would be lead to believe.

Well they were blowing their D line off the ball so yes Vandy had something to do with it. The turnovers we're forced so yes Vandy had something to do with it. Their QB threw the ball pretty good so yes Vandy had a little to do with it.
It would benefit the league if Vandy becomes at best competitive which I believe they will this year. As far as ever seeing a worst D1 team play I'm pretty sure I saw one about 4 years ago pretty close to home.

You hit it right on the nose man. Some of these comments in here reflect many hitting grandpa’s cough medicine a little too hard late last night. Hawaii’s roster includes over 50 new players and when Vandy is 2-10 at years end, we can come back here and laugh again.
