Not all games. Only two this year are being played there the rest being back on campus at Hale stadium.

Vandy's stadium is awful as a fan to watch games. Not only do they have bad views but the idiot who designed the place had the great idea to put the openings at the bottom of the seats. If you sit near the top (row 70ish) you must walk all the way to the bottom just to go to the concession stand or bathroom then return your trip to the top. Stupid. When the game is over you stand in a huge line of everyone going towards field level just to get out. Only redeeming quality is that they dont bring enough fans in to make it a big issue. Unless it the Vols, then the place is packed

Interesting. I thought the deal was they played at Nissan because they didn't have an on campus stadium. I don't go that way much.

Can you imagine Nissan filled with orange in November? Probably be the best football the stadium saw all year between the Titans and Vandy.

This is smart, it's about time they down size. Maybe they can switch stadiums with Maryville. The Rebels play all their games in Nashville and Vandy comes up to Skeeter Shields field and packs the place

They've got an old stadium in the conference and it hasn't been renovated since 1981.

Every other stadium in the conference has at least been been renovated since 2004.

They've consistently been the worst team in the conference longer than that. They had 3 good years and went back to be ****ty.

They should join the AAC and then The SEC could find a replacement for them like Louisville

Won't be bigger:

The 1981 massive face-lift was akin to building a new facility, but the current stadium is still a patchwork of the past century.

The stadium hasn't had a renovation since 1981...the next oldest year for major renovation to a stadium in the conference would be Arkansas's in 2001 followed by Auburn's and Georgia's in 2004. Not to mention the locations of everything nearby (like the Marriott and the baseball field) pretty much leave little room for actual expansion.

Trying to renovate that stadium is throwing good money into a bad investment. Vanderbilt COULD field a good program IF they had a clue how to support it.

IMO, the biggest problem is that stadium, and other substandard facilities. In football, they cannot compete with other power 5 programs until they can show recruits they are serious about providing them with a great home field advantage, and the type of facilities other programs offer. I know there is much more that would go into changing Vanderbilt's fortunes, but they should realize by now not having the proper facilities is their greatest weakness.

I haven't looked at aerial photos of their property, but since they are landlocked, they should try to acquire a site bordering the campus for a stadium and training center. Then, they can raze the old stadium, and build a decent basketball arena there.

Should just share with the Titans. In fact, they could play their games at the same time.

Not like those two offenses are going to bump into one another, and with the combined fan bases, they could average around 50K per game.

Maybe even merge names.

The Titanic Commodores. Kinda sums it all up.

Go Vols.

I laughed, but not cool bro. While it's true they have no relation to UT, the Titans still embody the state that is TN. Which UT happens to be a part of.

so eh, kind of counterproductive

Meh. I have lived in Tennessee my entire life and hold no allegiance to the Titans.

I tried to be a pseudo fan this year, and the game day experience is so poor I have already failed.

You should see Michigan Stadium. It's the opposite.
