Vanderbilt @ Missouri

Vandy seems to have shifted its defensive strategy more towards stop the run and blitzes now that there's a new QB in

If Vandy can find a way to win this one, they're actually sitting kind of good for a bowl game. Next week they'll get destroyed by UF but after that they have 3 very winnable games in a row: Auburn, UMass, and UK. After that they have Ole Miss, UT, and Wake Forest to find the 6th win.

vandy's just all out blitzing every 3rd down and the QB just can't seem to get over the pressure

Missouri's looking a bit the same:

The win would put them at 4-2

They play Bama next (loss) and UF (loss) later, but it would give them 4 games in there - UK, Syracuse, Tennessee, and Texas A&M - from which to try to find 2 more wins to get to 6. (Likely they'd beat UK and need to win 1 out of Syracuse, Tennessee, A&M)

Franklin's got a knee injury; he's done

and Missouri has to score, they're not going to be able to hold a team to 2 points all game

...at which point they then have a pass interference penalty

...so they all take out their keys and jingle them on 3rd down

Vandy is so winning this game

First penalty for attempting to leap over the 3 player shield on the punt team

so rather than first down at their 10, Missouri gives Vanderbilt the ball at their own 20 instead

it only took the backup 7 attempts to complete a pass

they're done; that whole offense is based around franklin and he's out

So Missouri had about 130 yards in the 1st quarter with Franklin? They're now at 151. I guess their offense goes as Franklin goes. Missouri might be lucky to score again at this rate.

So this rule basically means if you do the 3 man wedge it is virtually impossible to block a punt unless you have someone with superhuman speed that runs around the edge of the wedge first.

they (defenses) have to respect the run (by the QB) and the pass a bit more with him in

Vandy's switched off to just playing run defense now and then on 3rd down blitzing a (RS) Freshman who's in maybe his 2nd non-garbage time game
