Don’t forget Shepard from ND one of the more mobile posts (international style) who can stretch the defenses at 6-4 and of course Wilson at SC so she will really be able to make a name for herself if she remains engaged!

When McCowen is in there I beat up on her with Green and Dunbar. Both can play the hi-lo. Dunbar is not a good defender as far as technique, but she is a very physical presence under the basket and can, put a body or, push a body, out of the paint. And Green is made for this. I would match strength with strength for this one. No height. I don't match Cedes on her, I put Cedes on their PF and see how that transpires. With Green first
sub for the weakest guard.

Mercedes on Victoria Vivians would be a nightmare for MR. Victoria will just pull her out to the arc and drive past her all day.

Jaime or Rennia need to be on Vivians at the 4. MR needs to be on McCowan. Even if you are strong, McCowan will just go over you like she did did to Robinson from Georgia, who is a pretty solidly built player.

Vivians maybe too strong for Rennia. . . Unless Rennia can bring up her "Dennis Rodman from "The Worm" years

Vivians is too strong for Rennia and too quick for MR. Jaime is a good assignment because Victoria will also have to defend her, and she can't afford to get in foul trouble.

I think one should not fix what aien't broke. Holly's starting lineup is undefeated. Your lineup would probably also be undefeated but why not go with what has worked in the past?

an honest question regarding rules of enforcement for post players getting position down low. All rules relate IMO only to post players not to guards who are in the paint. Fouls called when a guard moves herself into a post player on a dribble-drive is an every possession contact between two post players seeking to achieve or deny position.

Was it the Auburn or KEntucky game where Mercedes in the first or second possesion was call for a foul when she was sealing a guard who pulled the planned and well-trained flop? summary: in the paint two sets of rules 1 for posts and 2 for smaller guards. similar for hand checks in the perimeter versus allowed contact between posts.

There's no defensive 3 seconds in the women's game correct?

Keep Jaime on Vivians, allow Green to Bang With McCowen, MeMe follow Shafeer around and over top of screens, and Evina and her height on Morgan Willam, Keep Mercedes in the Paint and force whoever their 5th player in at that time to shoot. With Mercedes sliding out to get a hand up but not to far. The key is communication on defense.

The fifth starter on the court for State is Roshunda Johnson, and she's not someone you want to leave open. She's a better pure shooter than anyone on the floor for both teams.

Man to man is probably the way to go. Everyone has to be able to guard their player without relying on double teams.
