Vanderbilt Women's Basketball Team - National Anthem

The Nashville TV news stations reported last night on sports that the Vanderbilt Women's basketball team will refuse to enter any arena until after the nation anthem is played...a stupid unpatriotic move on the part of the Vanderbilt women's basketball coach and the team. Proud American and veterans should absolutely refuse to attend any of their games. I never believed that a thing like this would happen to an SEC team! Call Vanderbilt and should them your objections.

And them doing so, affects you in what way?

If you're still getting all butthurt over national anthem stuff....I suggest you get out more; wait no you can't right now. I mean I know you have to act all outraged because you're told to, but seriously....get the hell over it.

Wonder why no one has an issue with CFB teams waiting until the national anthem is over to enter the field?

Don’t want OP to miss out on a golden opportunity to clutch her pearls. 😂

Reminds me of all the pissing and moaning about the NFL and anthems. The NFL stayed in the locker room for the anthem for decades and only starting coming out when the government paid the NFL to do so. And now these triggered buttercups are losing their minds even when NFL teams said they will stay in the locker room.....exactly like they used to. Only now they have to act all mad because someone told them how offensive it is.

Manufactured outrage, bought and paid for by our tax dollars.

Brilliant.

I said they wanted attention, and they’re getting what they asked for. Why would you be upset over that?

I'm not upset about anything. I don't care whether anyone stands, puts their hand over their heart, takes their hat off, is present or is not for the national anthem.

If they feel that not being present is a statement, that they choose to make, it doesn't affect anyone; especially those of us who don't watch Vandy sports unless they are playing the Vols.

Stopped caring after reading Vanderbilt Women's basketball because they are less important than the dude selling bottles of water on a street corner in the summer.
