Oh yeah, the Gay-tors are real tough huh. BYU just thumped them and sent them packing.

We lost to Fla (twice); they didn't. They swept us. They should be a 4 while we should be a 5

Either way, we are better than being put two seeds away from that team and we certainly don't belong with trash like Notre Dame. Anywhere from even to one seed apart either way and I would have been satisfied, but saying that there is a two seed difference between UT and Vandy is not right. I believe UT was dropped a seed because of the Kentucky game. A five seed still would have been disappointing considering most projections had us as a rising four seed, but a five would have been hard to argue with given performance. I don't believe there were 23 better teams playing this year.

what about 'nova?? losing 5 of their last 7 and they are a 2 seed.

then we have wisconsin. a four seed?? really??

same with purdue. who is actually going to pick them over siena.

how does florida make it and miss state not?

ohio state is the most overrated team in the tourney IMO, though. look at their resume.... one win vs purdue and thats about it. they wont make it past sweet 16, if that.

Ahem. I agree that wins over Kansas and Kentucky were more impressive than Vandy sweeping us. However, Kansas and Kentucky were beaten by UT, and they were still number one seeds. It is subjective ... but now maybe people will start to pay attention. Go Vols, beat Ohio!

At this point it worked out for the better. Tennessee has a chance to shut up a bunch of talking heads.

The fact that the only two SEC teams remaining alive in the tourney are Kentucky and Tennessee vindicates me on my point that UT should have been at least the four seed by virtue of their explosiveness. Tennessee's proven ability to beat two top two teams virtually puts them in the Final Four, or it should have in the minds of those making the selections. Barring injuries, UT is a better than odds-on favorite to make it to the Final Four.

Interesting that one of the commentators at the Vandy/Miss St. game stated that he could see Vandy going deep into the NCAA tournament. Just goes to show what opinions are.
