They're in their second year of playing at the FBS level...and yes they're atrocious. The only team they managed to beat at the FBS level was Akron last season.

UMass kept it close against Vandy for almost the whole first half last year, so I'd say they have a ways to go.

They are extremely bad. They've had not 1 but 2 bad shotgun snaps today (and I mean where the center sends it to the side of the QB), and it seems like every reception they make, the receiver bobbles it.

Honestly them being tied 7-7 in the second quarter is almost a victory for them. They look like they're lucky everyone remembers the snap count.
