I can forgive UMass for the talent gap, but they screw up things Division 3 teams don't struggle as much with. Like snap counts and snapping.

As you mentioned, they've recently come up from FCS. Leading 10-7 going into the 4th quarter against an 0-3 team that's essentially made up of an FCS roster is pretty bad.

I think the saddest part of this is the fact that their fans consistently complain about the refs screwing them.

If you're any good, there's nothing the refs could do to change the outcome against an 0-3 FCS roster.
