i dont think this will be as close as everyone says it will be. i wouldn't be surprised to see a blowout by the bammers.

I don't think it's Bama looking "scary", as much as Vanderbilt looking like, well, Vanderbilt.

Every year with the Commodores, it's the same ol' story. "they're returning a ton of starters...lots of experience...they were so close in so many games last year...this is the year they'll go to a bowl"...and every year, they lose between 6 and 9 games.

I will say this about Vandy. As I watch this game, it appears that Vandy is more "athletic" than I've seen them in years past. They've got some guys with quickness and speed. I like Nickson's ability to make plays with his legs, but he doesn't have good touch on the ball...looks to heave it downfield on every play also.

Vandy needs to do something with this turnover and the field position...it'll be tough with a 3rd and 20 though.

4th and 2 inside the Bama 30...the Dores will go for it...look for Vandy to spread the receivers out and give Nickson the draw.

JPW fails to impress me. Just after throwing a pick, he almost gives it up again.

Brian, I was just thinking the same thing. He's very inconsistent, and he has a bad tendency to telegraph his passes.

Unless Bama can get better performances from JPW, I don't think they're going to have a terrific season. Sure, their defense looks pretty good, but JPW hamstrings their offense.
