Don’t waste your time even thinking about Vandy. They’re insufferable but harmless.

Right now Vandy fans are more bitter about our NCAA Baseball World Championship, so be sure to wear your orange World Champion apparel around them this month and enjoy the dirty looks and bitter congratulations. :)

You obviously don’t live in Memphis and have to put up with that inferiority complex infested fan base. They despise UT and I wouldn’t pull for them if they were playing the Taliban.

Just yesterday I was listening to the local U of M fan boys on 92.9 and they were listing their best to worst SEC coaches. I turned off the show after they listed Stoops and Dinkelwitz ahead of Josh. (Should have turned it off when they listed Brian Kelley second behind Kirby.) Typical of their fans.

I get where you're coming from but, it's a bit hard to hold true hatred to something generally harmless. Like I really wanna hate my cousin's dachshund because he like barks nonstop for no reason. But he is a weiner dog that can barely reach his weiner id be mad too. that's the Vandy you hate. Next time you feel like hating on them put that picture in your mind. UGA, Bama, FL are clear and present dangers and also not from TN so hatred is justified. just like the stupid dog next door I hate him.....he is actually less annoying than the dachshund but he's a Doberman he has no excuse to be so much in his damn feelings.

Right, I don't live in Memphis, phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm just a loyal Tennessean. One who knows that whatever fault a fan base is accused of, the same can be said of your own by another fan based. And I try, I try, and I try, but I have no doubts I periodically fail at it, BUT, years ago, I saw a sign at some church that said, "Don't let the world make you evil." For whatever reason, that phrase velcro-ed, and gorilla glued itself into my head. So that my state loyalty, and that church sign, I don't really hate anybody. I get royally pizzed off, but it doesn't last long. Cause I know that, myself included, humans gonna human. So I don't take very much in life very seriously, even when pizzed. Long live Tennessee, may the Vols foremost, and the other Tennessee schools, to a lesser extent, only know victory against any out of state opponent. I want them all to fear playing a Tennessee team, whoever it is. That's just me.

Knock yourself out. I’m loyal to one school and that would be UT. There is a reason it’s called THE University of Tennessee. Memphis is THE university of one county and I’m not even sure about that. That program could cease to exist and I wouldn’t care.

Yep, used to go with friends as a kid to Vandy football and basketball games because we knew several season ticket holders and back then there was a decent chance UT's game wouldn't be televised. So we'd head over and watch Vandy play whoever. They sucked then in football but pre-Titans and Predators the stadium was still pretty full even for non-conference games. The fans weren't terrible at football games but not great.

Basketball games, totally different story. They had their moments like the 1991 team but they acted like they were Duke.

I actually am slightly torn about it. On one hand, I kind of miss them being good enough to hate in basketball because winning there when they were "good" was almost as sweet as winning at Rupp.

On the other hand....going and seeing UT fans take over Memorial just like we take over Dudley Field makes my inner 12 year old so giddy. I wish I could go back and show those pompous Vandy jackholes what the future looks like for them.

I'm with you. I've lived in Nashville for 61 years, and I can't stand them as a team in anything
Their fans hate all Vol teams and fans/coaches with a burning passion. I always pull for whomever they play; as much as I despise Georgia, Alabama, and Kentucky, I always pull for them against Vandy. I go to Vandymania whenever they lay an egg or Tennessee wins big as in the MCWS. They are still dying over the Vols passing them in BB.
