The 2 losses say different.
You see that’s the difference between being average and bottom.
You’re gonna play close to your average most of the time, above it in your best games and below it in your worst games.
Them 1 or 2 below was going to get us at some point.
If our average was a couple levels higher we might of been able to survive them 1-2

Our defense would’ve had to give up no more than 12 points in one of those losses. And to the #1 team in the country, reigning national champs. Idk how anyone puts that loss on the defense.

The other, fair I guess? But that game was an anomaly. Our pass rush disappeared. Don’t understand it.

Exactly what I’m saying.
Nearly every team has 1 a year.
If you’re good you survive it, and when you’re bad to start with ( pass defense) you don’t.

Guess an average defense would’ve helped our offense score more than 13 points in Athens? Are we so blinded by the defense that we can’t admit that the offense didn’t work that game? Got out game planned on that side of the ball. Doesn’t mean the offense will never work against them but it didn’t that day bc they shut it down, just a fact. That’s not on the defense.

A scheme can only do so much. GA defense is very good, and fast. Speed can make up for being out of position, unfortunately, GA defense is rarely out of position.

UGA didn't miss tackles and the offense jumped on us taking an early lead. Our players also didn't handle the Georgia crowd well at all. We continually had pre-snap penalties and other penalties that prevented the offense from ever finding any sort of rhythm. The second half, pouring rain only added to the woes. I'm not taking anything away from their defense, just pointing out that there were a multitude of other factors that contributed to their performance that particular day.
