Gus Malzahn? :dunno:

Seems to makes pretty good sense. Vandy has been fielding a pretty good defense (better than AU) lately. What they're lacking is offensive production. Solution? Guz Malzahn and his magicgusbus offense with QB Kiehl Frazier at the helm.

Vandy is a recruiting nightmare. He should wait until LSU opens up next year.

I like Malzahn in this spot keep the defensive staff i like jamie bryant and ted cain as assistants. Quarles would be a good pick up for OC he like to do the tricks like malzahn

Malzhan would be one of my first calls. I'd also call leach up. Not sure if the pirate circus would fit in Nashville, but a high octane offense would generate some buzz from the fan base.

There would be no reason for waiting until 2011 if it's going to be Malzahn. If Malzahn is willing to consider the job, they could get him now as easy as 2011 since he's not currently a head coach. If they do not get a coach for 2010, it will not be a big name such as Malzahn or Fulmer. If Caldwell remains the interim coach throughout 2010, Vandy's coach in 2011 will be another current Div 2 coach who they can get cheap but has promise.

I want to see Jordan Rodgers start myself, I want to see if he is any where near as good as his brother, if he is then Vandy got a good one.

I actually want to see Mike Leach get the job. Vandy won't have the balls to do it but it would be interesting.

The pirate circus with the fat little girlfriends would be hilarious in Nashville.

If he did get the job, what's the over/under on people mistaken him for vince gill?

They need to bring in the guy from Navy whose name I can't pronounce. Vandy is a perfect place to run the Flexbone.

Basilio and his caller are talking about how Quarles would be a great pick for Vandy

No.

I know and respect GQ immensely but he is not ready for that type of job and he would be the first to tell you that.

Truth be told when he was interviewed by Clawson for the tight ends coaching position Clawson totally stumped him on some schematic questions.

I think Vandy would be better off to go after a Div. 1-AA coach who has had success or go after a coach at a non BCS school. They could afford them and they might actually land a pretty good coach that way.
