Vandy's Stackhouse ejected and escorted from court by police

Well, let’s see what the school and SEC office thinks about it. If you think that is appropriate reactions by a head coach, then I don’t what to say. The officer was part of his own security (per other websites ) and had to physically push him away from the ref. No one thought Juwan Howard was going to hit an opposing coach either.
I’m not saying it was appropriate necessarily. I just think it’s getting blown out of proportion. We live in such a wuss society now. I’ve seen plenty of coaches go nuts very similarly to that. If he spit, then that changes my mind. I can’t tell definitively. But giving a ref an earful isn’t exactly new.

Even if he didn't spit, it was coming up behind the ref to intimidate him physically.

Baseball umps let guys jaw right up in their face but you'll leave a football or basketball game immediately if you're nose to nose yelling at a ref.

I find it weird that his own security made it look worse by overplaying moving him back. His staff was mostly just trying to "pick" him off the ref but that little guy in uniform gets in and starts pushing like he could've done something if Stackhouse really wanted to get by him.

Tim Floyd had a similar experience with no suspension. If Stackhouse did spit on the official, not sure of a precedent for that and would expect a suspension.

that a new thing in basketball now ? Is the Gator chomp or Horns down gonna result in T now ? Flags in CFB seemed less this season for stuff like that
It’s pretty much in almost every game . College or pro. It was an awful call. Stackhouse already runs a little hot, he can’t go off like that though. No coach can go off like that and expect not to get tossed .

He was justified in some way. The tech that they called on one of his players seemed completely unfounded. The guy tapped the top of his head after making a layup… seeming to indicate that he got hit in the head. Either way, it was a bogus tech. I honestly don’t blame Stackhouse for going berserk.

I now see why your posts-to-likes ratio is so out of whack.

Correct. I was stunned that Stackhouse landed the job in the first place. He never seemed to me to have the temperament of a head coach, and this has done nothing but strengthen that belief.

Stackhouse and Vandy never seemed like a good marriage to me. Stack always had some arrogance and a little swagger along with him. That’s not really Vandy to me. Not really sure what his resume was prior to Vandy, but I’m guessing that if he could do it over again he might take a different job than Vandy.

I hate that tap your head for dunk on celebration. Glad it bit someone in the butt. The fact it cost Vanderbilt even better. Lol

Vandy gonna Vandy. Seriously, it’s one play. Coach gonna lose it like that? Countdown until fans say team lacks discipline while defending the HC..

WTF? Posts to likes ratio?

You're so insecure that you look on a sports message board to see if enough people like what you post? And you judge other people by that?

That's laughable. Get a life.

Stackhouse got an extension before the season started. He is not going anywhere one would think. He is a good in game coach just needs players.
