Vaughn apologizes (not really)

That entire scenario AT BEST was unfortunate. I pray regardless of the circumstances…Coach Vitello NEVER reacts that way….EVER! Question a call? Sure! Make your point to the umps? Absolutely. But to go completely crazy toward an ump (or any other person) will ALWAYS be unacceptable IMO. I have a close friend who was a highly regarded SEC umpire for years has told me several times you MUST be careful and on guard ALL THE TIME. Almost every coach in the SEC will use you as a lightning rod for different “agenda’s” during a game. I can only imagine.

Hmm. 🤔
You must have missed the Jeff Macias fiasco.

I think this is legit. I apologize if it’s been posted before, but I could not find it anywhere. I did try before posting…

Supposedly, he called CTV and apologized.
Bama Coach Vaughn also has to sit in opposite corner of dugout and make no eye contact with umpire for next 4 SEC games. This was a directive straight from Greg Sankey

The funny thing is he made a complete ass of himself on a call that’s not even debatable. A fouled ball into the dirt is the end of that pitch and if he were paying close enough attention he would have seen it. Catcher didn’t do his coach any favors either. If anyone is to blame it’s the catcher for putting his coach in a bad position.

That’s kind of a lame fake apology. Usually these fake coach quotes are pretty over the top and funny. I don’t see the point in even making this one

It was def more than that foul ball The Fischer delays ticked him off more than anything. Plus, the Bama bench was whining about the strike zone all day too.

Tell his pitchers don’t celebrate Game 1 like they just won the national championship and proceed to give up 19 runs over next two games and he might be in a better mood. He can go cry us the Nile River. They’ve had Nick Saban and Nate Oats as coaches, two of the most whiny crybabies in their respective sports. Guess he is fitting right in with that culture. F him and that whole state.

So what you‘re basically saying is that as long as Bama isn’t playing the Vols, you pull for them except in football, basketball, and baseball? I assume you probably vacation in Orange Beach and enjoy some of the boutiques and seafood restaurants in Fairhope? 😀
