like i said, this was ky's path last season....

east tennessee state, wake forest, cornell, and west virginia.

that's too much for any team to deal with.

syracuse beat vermont and gonzaga before butler was just too much to handle.

kansas had lehigh and northern iowa.
You forgot Duke's laugher.

Cornell and Gonzaga were both better tha anyone Duke played, until WVU.

You can pretend that all routes are created equal, but it's senseless. Pitt's route was a joke this year. Their willingness to look a gift horse in the mouth doesn't change that. UF is now in the sweet 16 and has beaten nothing. Will remain that way to the final 4, unless they take the gas.

this is the reason i don't want to hear anymore about the "overseeded" thing. you have to play the games and win them. period.

vcu didn't belong in the tourney to most and have taken 6 seed georgetown and 3 seed purdue behind the woodshed.

temple took sd state to double overtime. michigan pushed duke. washington pushed north carolina. morehead state beat louisville. princeton pushed kentucky. butler beat pitt, etc, etc, etc.

there is no easy road and some teams will have an easier time in the final four than they did in the 2nd round.

i am sure kansas would have chuckled at the thought of having to beat boston university, illinois, and richmond to get to the elite 8 before the season started. think kansas fans would have signed up for that?

a lot of teams look mediocre right up until the pressure and intensity of tournament play kicks into high gear.

Well said, gator. Good coaches seem step it up a bit too in March.

I was talking about with a gator friend of mine earlier today. Florida's region is one of the weakest I've ever seen since following college basketball. ~ 20 years.

Anyone could win that region now that Pitt is out. I'm picking Butler over Florida as of right now.

Just my two cents.

let's take note regarding what's about to happen in kansas' region.

they may not have to play a seed lower than a 9 to get to the final four.

how do you like that path?

let's play a 16, 9, 12, and 10 or 11 seed to get to the final four.

I'll be pulling for Butler from that region. I'm pulling for all the Cindarella's from here on out. WTF Southwest bracket? Besides Kansas in the Sweet 16, you will have Richmond, VCU, and Florida State, provided the hold on.

March Madness. Gotta love it!

i don't want to hear about the big east anymore.

when the sec beats its chest in football, we go out and back it up on the field.

if the conference is that damn good, this stuff shouldn't be happening.

Same could be said for the Big Ten outside of Ohio State.
