Because in the past, the US has used the Red Cross and NGOs to infiltrate a country under the guise of "humanitarian assistance" in order to stage an overthrow and/or promote discourse.

It is amazing to watch a revolution unfold live man how times change. I hope the good people of Venezuela can overthrow the regime peacefully and that the security forces don't stand with the regime.

So starve the people , deny humanitarian supplies instead of policing the people / organizations giving them out ? 🤔 What’s the end goal ? Does anyone think they can hold onto power while starving their citizens without killing them out right to control them ? We all know what will happen if he starts doing that . So he still loses power .

The US actually needs Venezuela's heavy, sour crude oil to supply our refineries as they're configured. The domestic oil is actually too good and is being exported. If the US refineries are modified for light, sweet over the next year or two then the US has less interest in keeping ME shipments flowing.
