Actually, it's a BA.
I have watched three guy go out of business in the last ten years who had financial or economic degrees.
Applied their book theories to the business and when the formula didnt work they couldnt wing it or play things off the cuff.
My greatest lesson ever was the year I nearly lost everything. Most business owners learn from their mistakes and spring board from them. When you are stuck with formulas, its sometimes hard to adapt real time.

My wife is from Peru and I have spent considerable time there. Poor Peru, who scarcely can afford any kind of economic setback, is becoming inundated with Venezuelans escaping Vz. Peruvians in large numbers are losing jobs to Venezuelans willing to work for less. Wife says she never imagined Peru could be anyone's place to find a better life.
