from Butch: Corey Vereen underwent surgery today, says it's a fluid timetable and he could be back in five or six weeks.

Man. Bad news: Vereen surgery, Smith surgery, Naz Oliver and Fugate leaving, plus Dockery.

However, good news: Marlin Lane has been playing extremely well according to Butch. May be a breakout year for him. High praise for the Jr.

Sorry if this is another thread...but I couldn't find it. But what did the MRI of the knee show?

Junk. My bad guys. I'm a HS teacher getting ready for the school year, so the past few days have been a blur. Been workin my tail off, and trying to keep up with what's really important...the Vols of course.

Either way, it sucks to lose him. Hopefully he'll recover well. ButchLookin, sorry for the snap.

I always laugh at posters who are so incensed that a repeat thread is on the board that they feel compelled to post in it.

It's almost as good as the people who post in threads that they view as complete non-sense.

Or people who continually post Vandy threads. Just don't make sense.

Looking back on high school they are some of the biggest influences during that time period. They make a difference. You'll be fine as long as the rules of the classroom are the Maxims :)

Yeah. It's a great job. I actually am a Bible teacher at a Christian school, so I really hope I'm making a difference. I blare Rocky Top in my classroom between classes on Fridays during football season. Definitely making a difference. :)

You, sir have my respect. Kudos for teaching kids something they will benefit from far beyond the short term. My kids are at a Christian school and my oldest daughter's favorite class was Biblical Worldview.

Agreed. I didn't get the opportunity to go to a Christian school. I'm grateful for public school, but I honestly have to put up with far less disciplinary things than public school. Not that it doesn't exist at my school, I'm not that naive, but I hear so much less than most people would.

It's a fun thing to do. Very blessed.

I am no teacher but I can imagine it would be a tough job.
