It was nice seeing him looking like himself. Crafty on defense, aggressive on offense, creative passes/moves.. most importantly he was having fun again. (Que the wrist bite)

As most have said two things are the reason for slow start.
1) most importantly losing his grandma, who he was really close to, any of us when that happens really mess with us mentally and emotionally. It’s a tough thing to navigate but happy to see him working thru it.

2) adjusting to new role where he’s not the “primary” on offense. He’s a volume shooter and handler. So cutting back on the opportunities has been an adjustment.

But as the team continues to grow and mesh, trying different lineups and gameplans we will get more dangerous.

JJJ looking real good and has really helped steady the ship while Santi and ZZ figure it out...1st in steals, 2nd leading rebounder, 2nd leading scorer and the highest 3 pt %'age (40%) while shooting over 50% from 2-pt range which has been huge because we need someone else who can drive to the paint and score. Not to mention, he has the highest defensive +/- (tied with Santi) while playing as a slightly undersized 4.

Great day for Santi...played well in all facets of the game. He had the highest shooting %'ages (True and Effective) and the best defensive rating on the team as well as the highest defensive total rebound %'age.

Mashack also played really well in his 15 minutes...100% from the field (2/2) and 5/6 from the line for 9 pts while playing solid defense on Shannon.

I really feel this game is going to be an indicator going forward. We are FINALLY moving forward in a definitive way. Santi getting comfortable, ZZ improving and being his antagonistic self, and JJJ just continuing his very solid play. We have to also talk about Aidoo and his play as well. I think roles are starting to be solidified and chemistry is coming together.

For what it’s worth, we have a huge ceiling.
