Vescovi needs to step up

Unfortunately for Vescovi, he will mostly be remembered for having this terrible year and not showing up when it matters.
I've never seen a player regress as much as him.

I feel bad for Santi. I think he has got in his own head at this point and I’m not sure he’s going to be able to come out of it by tournament time. Guy should be dropping 3-4 threes a game and just looks like a shell of himself. We really need him if we are going to make it anywhere in March Madness.

Would you believe me if I told you that Santi has only made 16 FGs in the last 45 days? Shooting 31% across 12 games in that time period, and 31.5% from 3. The longest combined period it took him to score 16 FGs at any point last year was 6 games. Just an unreal offensive slump unlike anything I've remembered from a Tennessee player in all my life.

But didn't they say it was just sprained and I didn't know he had surgery on it but if did it's been awhile there is definitely some wear and tear on his shoulder but there can't be just that could it?

Aidoo is also a problem. He never plays good against good strong centers. Vescovi and JJJ are a definite consistent problem but Aidoo is also a problem. He gets so weak when the big boys take him to the basket. It is going to be a major problem when they face Edey, Bacott, etc. if they get that far. I know Mashack can be a liability on offense but he plays so hard and can get offensive rebounds so why not play him more because Vescovi and JJJ are definitely offensive liabilities also.

I'll give Aidoo the benefit of the doubt. He has far exceeded everybody's expectations this year. I'm not lumping him into the major disappointments in Vescovi and JJJ this year.

Aidoo has been contributing almost every game. JJJ and Vescovi are in an exclusive club

Correct, Mashack should start. It would be difficult for Barnes to make this call but he should do it. Vescovi really isn’t doing anything well currently including defending.
