VH1 Where Are They Now: Bryce Brown

Do you also like putting apostrophes where they don't belong?

It's hilarious. He deserves everything he gets... or doesn't get. Don't blame it on his dad. If a 19 year old (he's actually 20 according to wikipedia) can decide by himself to serve the country in war, Bryce Brown can decide for himself too.

Give me a break.

edit: fixed that I see. good job.

Ahhh, the old worn out "well he's old enough to serve in the military!" tirade. The Marines would take a 16 year old if they could. I'm also pretty sure there are plenty of 18 year old kids who sign up and then later realize it was a dumb decision. It's like that with any large decision.

Hell, Bryce is old enough to serve in the war, but not old enough to drink something as simple as a Zima. Sounds logical.

Take it easy on the kid, his dad has been calling the shots the entire time, believe it or not it's tough for some 19 year old kids to say no to their father, especially with something as difficult as this.

I can assume all of us look back on decisions we made right out of high school and think, "damn, should have done this differently." Hell, I still do it and I'm well out of high school and college.

From wikipedia:

:eek:lol:

What a complete joke. Bryce Brown really has a distorted view of himself. He couldn't even crack the lineup at K-state. What does he plan on doing, run a 4.4 at the combine and get drafted?

#1 ranked player when he came out of HS..... he will go down as one of the biggest busts in recruiting history.

Classy

judgmental*

His dad didn't make him a bust. How old does he have to be before you stop treating him like a 13 year old? The dude is 20 years old. His ego is the problem. Not his dad. He's an adult.

So, how have your recent personal conversations with Bryce been going lately? Oh, nevermind, I see that your information came from wikipedia.

Alot of parents who have kids playing out of state want them back. That's normal. What does that have to do with him quitting on K-State?
Since you like correcting everyone - "alot" is incorrect. It is a lot.

Alot is not a word since you like to correct people's spelling/grammar.

You have got to be one of my least favorite posters on this board. You regularly talk out your behind about things that you know nothing about and you make assumptions about people without having enough knowledge to form a credible opinion.

You keep talking about BB's ego when you don't know the guy. It has been reported by many who do know him that he does not have a large ego. He is a hard-working kid who probably doesn't have enough ego and listens to his father to a fault.

You passing judgement on him really is silly. Nobody cares what you think of him but coming on a message board to laugh at his misfortune shows a pure lack of class and honestly makes it seem like you are jealous that you don't have his natural talent or the opportunities that he has.

Last time I checked, this is a board for TN football. It is not a place where you can take shots at everyone because of their typing errors. Go join a English grammar board and stop wasting our time.

I know. I like laughing at 19 year old kids whose dad ruins their career. Always funny to me.

Oh boo hoo. :cray: Shut up and quit acting like his "handler" and protecting the "kid." Brown had plenty of chances, and a "19 year old kid," who is 20 now and will be 21 come May (according to wiki), should be able to make decisions on his own.

At this point, I don't care what happens with his career. I wished him luck in the past and moved on. If he does make it in the NFL as a drafted player, undrafted free agent, active roster, or scout team, he'll at least be making the league minimum (which is at least $300K, maybe a little more), which is likely his plan anyway. Everyone that keeps defending him needs to grow a set.

Had Bryce not listened to his Dad and stayed at U.T., he would have been Hardesty's back up last season. He may have even been behind Lennon Creer or R. Neal also. He would have grown unhappy and eventually left anyway.
He just wasn't as talented as his billing of a #1 recruit was. Regardless of if he had remained at U.T., transferred to U$C or transferred to K-State, it wasn't going to end well.
His dad didn't help the situation but it was a time bomb that would have exploded, regardless of which school he was at this season.

You do know that Hardesty and Creer left 2 years ago right?

BB's dad meddled in his life. His dad didn't prevent him from having a good attitude, working hard, and getting PT @ K-State.... especially considering that he should have dominated his competition there.

Nothing personal. I always thought he had the physical tools to be great. IMO, he never showed the dedication or "head" to develop the skills to be great.

Nah... he may get a free agent deal. He's too unproven. The NFL isn't the NBA. They don't just draft on potential. If he does get drafted, I will be surprised. But it will definitely be late round and I don't see him lasting long if he does make it.

He's basically Maurice Clarett minus the jail time.

I promise you if he shows up in shape and runs a 4.4 or faster he will get drafted. You know the Raiders will take him! :eek:lol:

My, aren't some of us a might testy this morning? Seems Bryce brings a reaction out in everyone, including me.

Bryce Brown, we hardly knew you. Good luck in life and choose a path filled with wisdom.
