Victory vs. Tennessee Postgame Report

At the end of the game with 16 seconds left the entire crowd was cheering for Moore to go down and break the 100 mark. He looked to Cuonzo and he gave him a stone cold death stare while shaking his head. Made me chuckle.

I'll add to the Kenny Hall criticism. He still hasn't learned to keep his feet on pump fakes. Opposing teams could foul him out in 5 possessions by getting the ball down low and giving one head-fake.

Nice analysis BTO. I was going to do one myself because ZJC was asleep at the wheel, but you got it covered. You're slippin Z...jk

I watched but had a couple friends over so I couldn't solely focus on the game. Plus my feed was terrible and it was hard to really focus on it and actually make observations.

However, I have all day Friday off.

So I'm really excited to watch college basketball all day.

All's forgiven this time.

Two things...

1) 58% from the line as a team was a bigger negative to me than Kenny's miserable performance.

2) in response to a prior question regarding the next exhibition game. From my understanding, since we are playing another D-1 team in GA Tech, there will not be any feed for the game online or on tv and there will be no fan attendance if I understand it all correctly per NCAA rules on exhibitions involving 2 D-1 teams.

If someone else has more info on this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and Go Vols!!!

Our next game is the real thing. Friday at home vs Kennesaw State. The GT exhibition was last week. The Victory game was our only exhibition and the games start for real Friday night at T-BA.

Were there any write ups or anything regarding the GA Tech scrimmage? Just curious

Nothibg official. Against NCAA rules. By all accounts from some leaked info, we rolled them by 20 or so points. Nothing concrete or in-depth.

How did Maymon look on the bench?

I didn't realize he was on crutches until I saw him at the game. I'm a little worried that we may not see him until Jan. does anyone know exactly what is wrong with his knees? Did he have surgery recently?

He had surgery in the off season on both knees iirc, one of the knees has become infected and he's taking heavy doses of antibiotics to kill it. Reminds me a lot of the Tom Brady knee issue he had with an infection a couple years ago.

I've been saying awhile I don't think there's a chance of seeing him til December and possibly January, and ive said that from the start.

If it ends up being mid January before he can come back we might as well think about that redshirt year.

I think it really depends on where we are..

if we are sucking and likely to miss the dance...redshirt him.

If we are having a solid season and will make the dance, but as a low seed, and likely a one and done....I'd redshirt him.

If we are having a great season, are ranked, and are projected to be a good seed in the dance...I'd bring him back.

GT was not an exhibition. It was a closed practice.

Kenny looked shakey early as did the rest of the team. But later on he settled in and hit some baskets. Kenny's biggest issue is taking too long to get into the flow of the game. Rebounding definately a concern. One thing is victory did have some height. Wasn't expecting that from a no name school.

My biggest concern was McCrae. This guy had several breaks to the basket and just pushed his shot. He has no touch to finish drives. Got close on a few occassions and just missed badly. Not too mention the guy cannot add weight. Just not a polished player at all. Just wish you could combine his step with Golden's IQ.

Oh, and I liked Edwards hair. He definately is long, and looks the part.
