I am a student at UT and yesterday I saw Ethan Wolfe first then Hurd and Malone together later. I just told them all welcome to campus and that we are excited to have them. They said thanks, shook my hand and I went on my way.

PS I am 6'4" about 225. Wolfe made me look small. He seemed very humble. He wasn't even dressed in any football gear. Just a normal student.

Gotta love the confidence. Gotta love the swagger. Hurd don't seem like a wide-eyed freshman in awe of anything. He seems to carry himself like he's been on that campus for years. Kid's going to be special, I just know it.

It's a fad. My nephew in high school wears the exact same thing. Funny, we used to poke fun at old men for wearing socks with with sandals, now it's a hip fashion statement LOL! Go figure.

I know quite a few freshmen that live there. It's overflow for honors student housing as well.

Jalen has confidence and swagger. He has all the potential to be special right away. So does Malone if he can add some size. Glad we have both of these guys as EE's

All the football players and other athletes do it. Rarely will you find them in "regular" clothes around campus. They're usually in the gear provided by the school, which includes flip flops. More about comfortability than following a fashion trend, I'd say.
