My take:
Worley looks stronger and has good release angle
Peterman gets rid of ball quickly
Dobbs is bigger than I thought, throws good short screen
Ferguson, looks slim and needs to gain upper body strength

Yep. They were dropping balls all over the place. (I know, twss)

Dobbs looks more impressive physically than I expected.

He sure does. Looks like he knows what he's doing too.

With Bowles, Croom, North etc, we've got some young wides that look like NFL vets. Physically anyway, dang.

Yea I think that Bowles is getting over looked he may not get the majority of playing time but when he is in there you can count on him to get open and run the right routes and do what he needs to do.

Ferguson seems like he has a slightly later release than the other 3. Anyone else feel that way?

I thought that Peterman has good short accuracy but I wonder how much that will break down on longer throws, because I have never been impressed with his feet. His back foot almost never gets perpendicular and his upper body looks a little loose when he is trying to get the ball out quickly.

Worley looks really calm back there. Very smooth and his throws were all in nearly perfect location. He has gotten a bit bigger than I remember. Doesn't have a lot of arm speed but his arm is strong.

Ferguson looks rushed. He has a live looking arm but he never gets composed and his accuracy in that video was pretty poor. I really like his feet, but there seems to be a little disconnect. Easy fixes.

Dobbs has good feet and a good arm. Rushes balls and his accuracy suffers for it. I think he looks like a more natural passer than Ferg. He is bigger than I remember him too.

Worley definitely looked better to me. And that means nothing, jmo.

What clearly stuck out to me, much to my disappointment, is that Worley is staring down his targets even more so than the true freshmen. It's even more obvious when you compare Worley to Peterman (just compare how quickly the head turns).

The reason it's disappointing is that there is absolutely no reason to stare down your receivers in practice... and it develops into a habit that carries forward into games.

It's skeleton drills to one receiver - no defenders. Where else would you like him to look during his drop back? I had to read your post twice to make sure you were serious, and I still have my doubts.

I'm very serious... if you do it in drills you'll likely do it in games. He can easily look down the field or away like the other QB's.

Are you really suggesting you shouldn't practice looking off your primary receiver during drills? I had to read your post 3 times because I can't believe you don't believe in practicing like you're expected to play.

He seemed to be the only one with the smarts to find the open reciever. SMH

Oh those Dobbinites

Joan Rivers once quoted that she was smart enough to go through any open doors. Perhaps Mr. Dobbs is smart enough to see the open door at UT. And if he is, this of course will leave Mr. Orange Way of Life smarting. He seems to have an issue with players being intelligent. He can line himself up with the side of the room that wants a dolt to lead UT to victory. Yes, that is the side of the room with only one chair.

He lacks arm strength right now. There are several who went nuts over this when it was said earlier... but it is still true. He needs development before he's ready to compete.

I couldn't tell as much about Dobbs.

If I had to guess early on about the starter, I'd say 70% Worley, 25% Peterman, 5% Dobbs.
