New Orleans is not a bad football team its just that this whole hurricane thing has messed them up, this is what Matt Leinhert is going to have to relize and he shouldnt pull an eli or should i say an archie

BTW we paid Pacman 2.2 million last year. WTF??
He was the #6 overall pick, so yeah he is going to get paid. He is also going to be a very good player if he can learn to shut up.

Best QB in the NCAA! I think he'll go Pro! As one Texas Longhorn fan told me today, two Heismans don't equal one Young.
The Trojans had two good running backs. I've never seen anyone as cool as Vince was working on the field. I don't believe he made one mistake at all. NO INTs! :eek:k: He's "AWESOME!"

Obvoiusly this is not the final word but ESPN reports it likely that Young will return to Texas for another year.

Young has to go Pro. He will never be rated any higher than he is right now. Kiper says that he has moved into the top 3 after his performance last night .Thats set for life $$$ whether you ever play or not.

My thoughts exactly, Young could declare himself eligible and never even work out for anybody and probably be a top 5 pick. But this is the same scenario that Peyton Manning and Matt Lineart were in, and they came back. You never know what is in someone's head.

Same here. Oklahoma will be very much back in the Big XII hunt this year, and with Texas losses on the lines and at some skill spots, Young could be in for a rough year if he comes back. Not to mention that little game there against Ohio State early on. If he's smart, he will declare for the draft now. His Rose Bowl game coupled with Houston's first pick means he's got a real shot at being the first overall pick in the draft.

New Orleans had no coaches and zero discipline.

If the Aints hire a non-experienced NFL coach...it will be a long 2006

If he were drafted by New Orleans they could have immediate success if Duece comes back 100%.
You haven't seen their D play lately

he said on Leno tonight that just being in new york for the Heisman presentation was good enough. I think he'll go pro and be a top 3 pick. The Saints may take him over Leinart.

How much money is a team going to be willing to gamble on a project?

Just look at the NBA.....Kwame, etc..... :birgits_giggle: !

Are you seriously considering Kwame Brown to Vince Young??? Brown was a high school stud, thats it. Vince Young just led Texas to an undefeated National Championship in D-1. Someone said that on this board that Young looks good against crappy defenses...he looked stellar against Ohio State. If you want to build your team to win the Super Bowl, you draft either Young or Leinhart...who was the last great NFL running back to lead his team to a World Championship? Emmit Smith, 1996???

I said could have the possibility for immediate success.

Hmmm......no I was just referring to how silly it is to draft someone out of high school and pay them millions of dollars playing against kids with zits.

I made no referrence of Kwame Brown to Vince Young because it would be a mute point.

Is your whole purpose in life to nit pick and try to start drivel arguments over nothing? :dunno: Poor fella...............you need some love! :air_kiss:

All Peyton ever got was a SEC Championship, a retired jersey, every major passing record and a street sign. *Just imagine in 1997 if Tennessee would have beat Nebraska and Washington State would have beat Michigan. Who would have been the Champions?*

*All pitiful and poor Tee Martin ever got was a SEC Championship and something with a crystal football! Sniff....sniff.....poor fella he needs some love too! :air_kiss:

Yep. I believe that, even if they get young back, Texas will NOT win the Big XII next year. Ol' Bob Stoops still has Mack Brown's number, he just didn't have the players to do it in '05. This time around the Sooners will be reloaded. Stoops has stopped Young before (did everybody forget Texas was SHUT OUT in '04?) and he will do it again next year.

If Vinny Young knows what is best for him, he will enter the dreaft now because Texas won't be repeating what they did this year. They ought to thank their lucky stars Oklahoma was so drained of talent this year.
