Not collecting per se but I still have vinyl that accumulated thru the seventies and early eighties. Never could bring myself to get rid of them.
Lot of hard and classic rock, Southern rock, and a little bit of everything else when combined with my wife's stuff from the same era.

Think I'll make an inventory.

My wife got me two Trombone Shorty albums on vinyl for Father's day. I like that if you get them from Amazon you can also download all the mp3s for listening in the car or at work.

Have plenty of classic rock and even a good collection of newer stuff as well.

Yeah, it was sad when she could not attend her induction to the Rock & Roll HOF, but the tribute was very cool.

Best combination of power and femininity in a voice, ever. My favorite:

If youÂ’re looking to grow your collection IÂ’d recommend The Edit. ItÂ’s a program you can sign up to and theyÂ’ll ask you a bunch of questions about artists you like and then send you a text daily with an album offer. If you want it you just reply Yes to the text and youÂ’re done. I ignore the text probably 95% of the time but every once in a while theyÂ’ll send me something that I probably wouldnÂ’t have ever thought to order but really want. As they see ones you say yes to they continue to tweak their recommendations.

Thanks. ThatÂ’s good info. I went to Zia last weekend and itÂ’s a total cluster.

Dood...You are the man!! Owning up to Elton John & The Partridge Family. Early Elton John was classic gold. To this day I still talk about his song Someone Saved my Life Tonight changing tracks in the middle of the song on 8 track. Was my favorite song from that album.

You mentioned Sean Cassidy albums, did you mean David Cassidy from The Partridge Family? Asking for a friend

David's brother. Posting this is probably ban worthy.

My brother in law who is now deceased had an awesome album collection.... every Beatle album... together and apart..... all of ELO's and many others.
After he died my sister said she didn't have room for them and let her boss have them!
I'm still in disbelief

Just scored all but three records of The Brian Jonestown Massacre discography (that's 23 records including singles) from a private collector for a really sick price.

Close to being set up again. I have several more boxes of albums to bring home and my dumb azz did not put the record player power cord in the box with the record player, and I have no idea where it is.

I did pick up a few albums today - Bad Brains Live, Public Image LTD first issue and The KInks Misfits. Sure wish I could listen to them.

the upper left album from Louisiana Leroux is some really great stuff. They didn't last long but they had some great music. I highly recommend it.
Most probably won't recognize it but the Barefoot Jerry album has a very local flair. That album cover was taken from a small store in Walland. Might be a few old farts like me who recognize it.
CCR - Green River...just classic
