I feel like this team's offense relies almost exclusively on getting the ball into the down low. They have Stokes, they'll have Maymon at some point, and Kenny Hall has also shown a much-improved game in the low post. It makes sense to try to play to your strengths, and ours is clearly inside.
Hopefully this isn't too harsh, but it seems like the team doesn't have a clue when defenses take this option away from them. Teams pack the paint a lot on us, and when that happens we shut down. We just pass the ball around the perimeter until the shotclock runs down and somebody has to make a move and jack up a rushed, contested jumper. They need to set picks, move off the ball, and drive to the rim. I know we CAN do these things - I've seen it - but it doesn't happen nearly enough.
