I think that was their first try? It looks more shiny while the first looks more realistic?

I think they're different anyways. This picture looks better. The first picture looks dreadful.

Too bad they didn't stick with the second picture I posted.

I was looking at the layout of each helmet where colors and bricks go... they are different. The 2nd picture(first try) definitely looks better than the 1st picture(what they will wear).

As someone else mentioned, looks like a turtle shell. To me, it looked like an old war helmet or something. It's fugly.

These strange designs never show well on TV. It's just going to look like a grey helmet.

I think it's hilarious that everyone is trying to reduce leading with the helmet and all that stuff, and they make a helmet that's supposed to look like stone. Nice work VT.

That stone is what many of their buildings on campus are constructed from. It's the signature design on campus. Plus, as someone else wrote, the stone is found locally. The buildings look awesome; the helmets look atrocious.
