Virginia Tech vs James Madison

So before it's, "Boise State doesn't stand a chance against VT, they're a real team." Now it's, "Haha, VT was crap and it means nothing."

All BSU does is win games. How can anyone fault them for that?

Nobody faults them.

But unless every other team in the country but one finishes with at least two losses, Boise's shot at the title just went up in smoke.

Oregon State is a decent team but not good enough to propel a team to the title game.

Boise fans were right, they're on the road to Arizona. At the Fiesta Bowl at best.

That's all true, but I'm just saying the same people who said BSU was a pretender were saying VT was the real deal before the season started. It shows that we really don't know anything until the games are played. BSU deserves a way to earn a shot. If that means a playoff, so be it.

I watched two average teams play when they met a week ago. I see no reason to crown a champ contender in week one.

Can only happen if the winner has nothing but a patsy schedule remaining. Theirs makes the Big 8 of old look daunting.

There should be a playoff.

But under the current system, there are fifty or so teams that will never ever win the national title even if they win every game they play for the rest of time, and that's the way it is.

I agreed that Boise State should (if tOSU and Bama weren't both undefeated) have a shot at the National Championship, if they went undefeated themselves. That was until I saw Virginia Tech go out and lose to James Madison.

VT isn't looking like a good win at the moment Boise State needs every good win they can get.
