Porn addiction is a much bigger problem now than pre-internet AFAIK

Apparently young girls watching porn is a thing too.

So the girl who is being abused at home who goes into porn on her 18th birthday and does a handful of pills and a fifth just so she can get through the scene.....is that hurting this girl or it's just ok cause shes now 18?

The industry preys on people who have broken lives.

A few companies like Vivid and Wicked try their best to make it clear what the girls are getting themselves into but the majority of companies are gonzo and could care less.

I saw a guy in his early 20s speak out about this. Said he’s a recovering addict and developed E.D. due to his addiction.

Took him 9 months with no porn to recover.

Said his doctor said he had to “rewire his brain” by eliminating porn to fix the problem

Name one industry that doesnt. Pro sports players often dont come from great homes or live long fulfilling lives after their success.

There was a conversation in the OC thread how tech companies burn out employees, in relation to McDaughter looking for an engineering degree.

Artists of pretty much any media have checkered past. Heck just look at Hollywood.

I'm talking about why it's not inherently immoral and you are talking about a hypothetical tragedy. We're not having the same convo. Adults should be free to do what they want as long as they are not hurting unwilling people. Some people will abuse this. It's a sad reality but it shouldn't result in limited freedom.
