Visitor List for Orange and White Game

Other schools in the SEC are way ahead of us in recruiting. Imo, CDD has his hands so full trying to figure out what to do with his QB and OL situation, that he is letting recruiting fall by the wayside. I agree that we should be worried. We are about to have some very depressing years in Knoxville.

Dude are you serious?

2007- The ONLY team ahead of us in the rankings was Florida, we were number 3

2008 - Terrible year in relation to the rest of the SEC, but still #35.

2009 - only 3 teams finished in front of us, Alabama, Georgia, and LSU. Florida was even behind us.

2010- We were #9, and there were four teams in front of us (Auburn, Bama, Florida, and LSU)

#3, #35, #10, #9 classes. In my opinion, our drop off has nothing to do with our recruiting efforts. Our drop off has to do with the fact that our coaching hasn't been stable, that Fulmer sucked it up in his last few years, and that we haven't had a coach stay more than a year.

Quit being so negative. Once we get a coach to stay in more than 3 years or so, we can get a true judgement of where we are in the SEC. Will we have some down years? Maybe. But, give the guy a flippin chance!

It's all about attrition, that's what got us here.

EXACTLY.

We could comprise a whole offense and defense of the players who have left either for the draft or due to the coaching change or disciplinary reasons.

Nick Stephens, Brent Schaeffer, Bryce Brown, Lennon Creer, Austin Rogers (Injury), Demetrious Morley, Nukeese Richardson, Mike Edwards, Aaron Douglas, Eric Berry, Dennis Rogan, BJ Coleman, Chris Donald, Brett Vinson....I could go on.

I mean, players have came in and things haven't panned out. Recruiting is great, but we haven't kept a lot of players, due to discipline, grades, injury, draft, or whatever reasons. That's why we are where we are. We're making the best out of what we have. Choose to be optimistic. Not like pessimism gets you anywhere.

Uzomah will not be here as far as I know. What you saw was a quote from him saying that he wants to come visit sometime, not that he was this weekend.

Worley would be great if he could go ahead and commit. Would take a lot of weight off of Dooley to recruit a quarterback. However, is this the guy we want? If we take him, and consider him an elite prospect, does that ruin our chances with Uzomah or Bridgewater or LeMay or another big prospect? I know we've now talked about taking two quarterbacks (well, pretty much got to)...so if we get Worley, who does that put us out with?

We definitely want Worley, the offer list says a lot. Florida wants him, FSU, Notre Dame, Stanford, ASU, North Carolina, Texas Tech, LSU. I think Scout's evals are still early and undecided and less worthwhile than when Rivals puts theirs out. I would wager that Worley will be more highly regarded as the summer progresses.

I have no idea what recruit(s) would be scared off by a Worley commitment though. But if Worley ends up the highest rated QB we get in the class, I really think we would have gotten a good one.

As a pure pro-style QB, I would take him over Uzomah for sure and maybe Bridgewater.

We want him or Driskell.

Thanks. From what I hear, Driskell is more of a long shot...I think I'd rather have Worley. I mean, I'll take my cake and eat it too if we could get both. Some people are saying we wouldn't take Uzomah at QB, do you know anything about that? Is he willing or looking to play another position?

Justin Worley, Stephen Rivers, Kyler Kerbyson, Antonio Richardson, and Alan Posey beg to differ.

That is a very short list of visitors for the O & W game. Other schools have had 200 - 300 recruits at their game. What is going on? Why is our coaching staff so slow with recruiting this year? IMO, we should all be worried.

Tennessee will have hundreds of people there too. This list is just high profile guys who will actually get offers. They don't write articles about people who aren't going to play D-1. Don't talk about things you don't understand.

from the amount of guys who say they will visit this spring, we should have a solid turnout. this is a small list I've had going. each of these guys has said they will be here or try to be here for the O&W game.

VA WR Lafonte Thouroogood
GA OL Alan Posey
NC QB Justin Worley
NC DE Jeoffrey Pagan
NC TE Eric MacLain
NC OL Tyler Philpott
FL TE Jeff Heuerman
TN OL Kyler Kerbyson
TN CB Tino Thomas
TN OL Cody Robinson
DE OL Trip Thurman
GA ATH Landon Curtis
'12 GA DT Jafar Mann
the whole Stephenson, GA team
DaRick Rogers
Raiques Crump
Eddrick Loften

How are the 2 highlighted guys looking as far as qualifying? And wow a whole highschool football team comming up to see the game is pretty impressive IMO.

DaRick is telling everyone he's qualified and word seems to be that he is gonna be fine.

Loften's coach said he expects him to make it in.

Hubbs said last week that all of UTs signees are looking good to qualify as long as they have a good semester right now.

I understand far more about this process than most. Been through it once myself and with two sons. Also helped many others through it. Please don't make vast assumptions based on little or no fact.

I agree that Worley is better than Uzomah or Bridgewater. Plus I here that Driskell might want to be a 2 sport athlete in college and he could be a high draft pick for baseball and might not play cfb. But in the end the school that lets Driskell play both might get him.
