Vistiors for the Vandy Game

Lache would be one of those major shockers. I see USC for him. I thought LSU for the longest time but it looks like they may land Gore. Then again, this could be another chance for O and Wilson to pull a Joe McKnight, except UT has a little more to offer than Ole Miss.

I see us having the best shot at Dyer then slim to no chance with the others. Lattimore, Lache, and Brown would all be shockers. I don't know if we take a RB unless it's an elite. That is, unless Poole has let the coaches know he is gone for sure.

We will land a top tier back IMO. Just have to wait and watch.

At first I think everyone is scared of UT's depth at RB because they see all the names, but once you explain that Poole will transfer, Hardesty's gone, we have Williams coming off season ending injury, the only two healthy RB's we have left next year are BB and Oku. Nobody knows if Oku can run between the tackles and if BB's hip pointer will affect him next year as much as it has this year. It is a lot easier to sell a RB spot to a prospect after all this info is thrown out there. I think the staff needs to take a RB this class and they will get one of Dyer Lattimore or Seastrunk.

I find it very interesting that Sab has had little hints in different threads about Lattimore. There might not be anything to it, but I have def. noticed it. I read on this site a lot and have just recently started to post more because I'm starting to understand recruiting a lot more now and didn't want to sound like an idiot when I first started reading. I really enjoy all the infor LV and Sab have.

One marquee back. You have to think that we are just an injury away from a 2010 player getting significant playing time

what say you Sab?

Lattimore will not end up at Auburn.

I know Trooper is a good recruiter but I just cant figure out why all these bigtime skill position players even have Auburn on their list. With Malzahn at OC how are they gonna be prepared for the next level. If I were a recruit and had a chance to play at the next level I would only look at schools that run a pro style offense.

I agree with you. If getting to the next level is a high priority for these kids then playing in a Malzahn run offense doesn't make much sense.

I would say that UT best chance these RBs mentioned is with Lattimore. I still think USCe is where he is leaning. Lattimore was very high on the Barn until Lache made a big splash down there over the summer and then ML came out and said Auburn was no longer his leader. Now with Dyer there I do not see it.

If Lache doesn't end up at LSU I am not sure where he ends up. Auburn could still be a possibilty but he keeps waiting and teams keep adding RBs. He was very high on Oregon and they just got a RB commit yesterday. If he goes west though I think it will be Oregon.

Lache loves USC's offense. I could see him going there if LSU takes Gore. As for Lattimore, I've always had a feeling he'd be a Tar Heel. SCe is tumbling and may finish 6-6. FSU is in all kinds of mess. Auburn has Dyer. Not a ton of great options he's looking at.

I think that we don't even take a RB/TB this year. Fugate as a hybrid FB/HB and worry about a RB next year. I'm curious about Smith. Is this just a free trip or is there intrest? Living in USCjr and Clems son:) area and both camps think they lead for lattimore.

Updated. Ahmad Dixon removed. Looks like he is planning on coming back after the season...

Could be a good sign. As wishy-washy as he has been, I would rather him commit in December/January than right now. I think we'd be nervous about him until the day he signs if he committed this weekend.

It would be nice to have at least one DB in the fold already. Maybe they are thinking of using Melione sp as DB. I had hoped dixon would commit this weekend.

Well, Dixon has said we are his leader. As long as his parents make it up, I think we pull him. If not, he goes elsewhere.

As far as Meline goes, I think we'd prefer him to stay on offense, but he's like Teague. He could go either way.

You are an idiot. Auburn is right behind Carolina for Lattimore and he has said he has no interest in UT despite his teammates commits. The vols are coming for Lache.

Dude for a guy with 7 posts you shouldn't be talking sh*t. Seriously even tho Tide Warrior is a bama fan he gives this board a lot of good information and I enjoy reading it.

As for Lattimore some people are saying he will end up at UT (Sab seems too think we have a chance here too) so you my friend are the one that looks like an idiot. We have a way better chance at Lattimore than we do with Lache.

Has either Lache or Lattimore even visited UT before? If not, then the discussion ends there. When one of them decides to take a visit to UT, then ill listen

Agreed. Since when has it been confirmed either one had serious interest in UT? I still think it's a little too hopeful to think we could land a top tier back this year given our depth
