So from now on when a recruit doesn't commit to us, the new saying will be "wait till Pat Martin gets them coming across the middle of the field."

If silent... that would be the worst one I've ever seen. Why he didn't just say "I'm committed" I don't know.

DD doesn't seem to push guys very hard for early commitments. That's a strange approach compared to most schools. Wonder if it will work?

One approach that Oregon utiliizes and it seems as though DD is as well, they put a premium on guys who want to be part of the program, versus guys you have to work hard for. In essence they feel these kids will buy into their system and work harder because they want to be there that much more.
For instance Pat obviously is pro UT right now, they will pay more attention to him than say somebody like Avery Walls or another high rated guy they have to work really hard for and possibly lose in the end. It's kind of a pick your battles sort of a deal.
Will be interesting to see how it works in the SEC, where recruiting is insanely competitive.

I don't think dude is silently committed. He just fell in love with UT this weekend. To me, it seems like Dooley encourages kids to come back 2 or 3 times before committing. He wants to make sure a commit sticks. It's a completely different approach than the last staff.

The best part was Kiffin's quote after the game, "We'll never lose to Georgia."

That is something I hope Dooley continues...

I hope CDD. Does as well. Also you got to hand it to lil Kiff. He NEVER lost to GA as the Vols head coach. That's atleast 1 time when he told the truth.

hopefully he will bring back suits. these guys should be learning how to be men, not just athletes. when you step off that bus its time to do business, dress accordingly.

Maybe, but there's something disconcerting about a kid who is in college & doesn't make any money wearing a more expensive suit than the total $ that's in one's entire closet.

Just saying. I like the suits, but maybe not Armani for the whole team, eh?
