I suppose you think it would be better to take his money from him by force and send it either to foreign governments or else people who came here illegally?

Lottery is a tax on poor math skills.

I am not against gambling, but I have never played the lottery since Tennessee instituted it. Merely on the principle that the majority of the money spent by lottery players has not gone to education as promised, but to administrative costs , salaries, and of course winnings.
It is a tax on the poor and even though cliché - some people's retirement fund.
