Was he actually arrested or just escorted out of the building? Usually they don't arrest the person they just make them leave.

Love how no one knows the situation but all is thinking he is the bad guy. If any of you have ever traveled on the road the other fans can be asses and I don't I put up with it either. I got a yellow card in GA dame what ever that is because some KY fans was running their mouths and they weren't even playing. Hope he was standing up for himself. GoVols!

Some of you care that a UT fan gets arrested at a UGA game? Stuff happens. I like a little rowdy. People who get mad at passionate fans like this guy, probably are the people that tell fans to sit down at football games. Yuppies

It's hard enough not to stomp out UGA fans in Knoxville. Being surrounded by them IN ATHENS....I'm not gonna judge the guy without knowing the story. Hell I almost had to stomp one in Texas Road House in Knoxville. Never seen dude in my life and he kept running his lip. Just some random drunk UGA fan who felt the need to spoil my dinner. I hate UGA fans. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume this man might deserve a standing O rather than a bashing. JMO... EFF Georgia. That's all....

Hey, you may not think so but there is no such thing as bad publicity. Who cares anyway it was at GA, don't know how y'all feel but every Ga fan or offical can kiss my VOLUNTEER ASS.

Why did the security guard go onto the court and and get the attention of one of the refs at the same time the guy was being led out? Trying to get some tv face-time?

My thought was maybe he threw something on the court? That was the only thing I could come up with since the security guard went to talk to the ref about it...Who knows what he did or potentially what was done to him...

More than likely he was escorted out and given the option to leave the premises or go to jail. Typically that's the way it happens.

This is off topic, but brought to mind the black jersey football game v. USC in '09.

There was this USC fan sitting in the USC section right by the rail and walkway. The entire game he was (drunk) belligerent and obnoxious to any UT fan -- man, woman, old person, or child -- that walked past him.

If USC had a good play he would lean over the rail right in people's faces shouting F you while flipping the bird. Until the 3rd quarter everyone just ignored it. Finally, one UT fan had enough and told the guy to shut his face. I think he told guy he was going to whip his butt if he didn't stop.

Another USC fan ran and got police. UT/Knox police came to get the UT fan and were escorting HIM out. All at once about 10-15 UT fans jumped out of their seats and went down to set the officers straight. To save face, the police told UT guy to settle down and told the USC guy there shouldn't be further problems.

The point is: there may be more to the story than just seeing a UT fan carted out wearing cuffs. Probably not, but you never know exactly what caused it.

3. You gotta admire this guys passion, if not his actions.

vandy has proven 100yrs of losing and just plain sucking can be erased in 2 short years. 3 losing seasons do not erase 117 years of winning and tradition. :no:

Usually a fair amount of alcohol is involved. Also, someone usually smarts off and says something not even related to the teams to fire people up.
