the gap is down to around 3500, we've finally made a dent. i'm disappointed, not only is the UT girl not winning nationwide, she's not even winning here in VA. I thought my votes alone would push the UT girl over the top in VA

Alright...down to 3000 now....we can do this!! But we'll have to keep up the votes even if we finally get the lead...there is a north texas voting presence..without a doubt...LETS GO GUYS!!

Its over on December the 14th.

I think when its over, all the UT fans and the NT fans should meet in a neutral place, say Arkansas, to have our Carpal Tunnel fixed.

They might be letting up a little (much like we did when we got a good lead).

Seriously, I bow to the online voting gods. You guys have been at it all day. I would say that I put up about 50 votes (and that is really nothing) - but I know a couple of our guys have really been hitting it hard and you discouraged them into giving in. We will probably back off until the final week and then try to make a run for it... but think about this, our team is sitting at home again this year in bowl season and you guys are a couple of games away from a National Championship Run... BTW - did you know the all time record of UT/NT? It is 1-0 - NT. Yep, we beat y'all in the late 70's, you guys cancelled the rest of the series (we were independent with Hayden Fry as the coach) and from what I hear around the rumor mill - a rematch is being negotiated. So you guys have a great chance (more then 100% of evening up the series). Back in the late 70's, a lot of no name schools like North Texas could really do well. The budgets weren't out of control yet but the scholarships weren't limited... so a lot of the time you would have the power schools bragging about how many players they had on their team rather then how good the players were or the coach was. Honestly, it was a pretty even game - we ran something like a a 99 yard kick off back for a TD as the seconds clicked off the clock to win. Were any of you there? I would love to hear your personal story on it if you remember it.
