Eliminate the awful red and orange combo - does anyone else love Tampa's jerseys compared to UT's? (not trying to be blasphemous)

Forgot to mention that a new key design element next year in everything will be the Dooley "power T inside the football' logo that we're starting to see creeping in around the prorgram

It's not Dooley's logo. We started using it in 2009 under Kiffin.

It's a variation of the basketball logos that were developed and stamped all over Pratt Pavilion when it was built.

The white/black outline shoulder stripe that runs down the arms?

Pretty corny.

I LOVE the black outline on the numbers and helmet, but I agree with the none on the shoulders thing. I think just a solid orange jersey with white numbers outlined in black would look just amazing.

so now all the NFL stuff is going to be boring too?

San Diego with a white helmet with a blue SD on it?
Baltimore with a black helmet with a gold B?
Tampa Bay with a white helmet with a orange T? oops.

Or they just stay Traditional like most teams do anyways....

Sorry I like traditional. I liked the black jersey's last year at the SC game as well, but if I had to choose between an alternate or traditional I'd stick with traditional.

They've owned Reebok since 2005.

Our uniforms are "boring" (as you put it) because that is the way UT asks for them to be designed, not because adidas can't design something different. Adidas has brought more "modern" designs to UT on numerous occasions under 3 coaches now and we've remained the same, with the exception of the 2002 disasters.

Got any examples of looks that were vetoed?

Actually starting next season I believe Nike is taking over all NFL related apparel so this discussion won't be relevant too much longer

Basically, look at stuff that other adidas schools have worn and imagine it in orange. Some of those diasters that Arkansas wore were presented. Kiffin and Fulmer both considered UCLA and USC-type shoulder stripes for the road jersey at various times. The Denver Broncos template was thrown out there as well. Ultimately, adidas stopped asking because we made it clear we didn't want changes.

I love the traditional look, I understand some people love the flashy look.

As long as Dooley is the HC you will see Orange on White at home & White on Orange on the road. He has made that clear with the media several times since he has been here. He has also met with Adidas to make sure the Orange is the right color Orange.

Now dont get me wrong, I loved when we broke out the throwbacks against UNLV in '04 & when we wore the Black jerseys last year against USCjr (only because it was Halloween). I HATED the jerseys we were in the '02 season I think it was, the ones with the solid thick stripe down the jersey & pants. Those were just hideous.

I would have liked to have seen the uniforms with the Broncos template.
