I'm all for this being an open forum, but I'm really considering whether this topic needs to go any further.

For AllVol!, steel bends, and steel beams wilt, at high enough tempatures. Once enough of the beams began to wilt, it caused undue pressure on the support structure, leading to collapse.

However, continue to believe whatever you want. Your opinion means very little, and you are obviously too far gone to even waste any more effort trying to convince you of the truth.

Go forth in ignorance.

I thought you didn't want to discuss it.

That's a lazy man's response (among other things). With 3,700 posts in 8 months surely you have time and effort to spare. :whistling:

volinbham: "For me, it was the inclusion of corporations and media in the conspiracy"

no, no, no...I am not suggesting that corporations and all the various mainstream media outlets were privy to and consciously involved in any plot there may have been. Please! What I believe is that in the post 9/11 atmosphere, the news media (backed by corporations who depend on gov. to protect their interests and wallets) fell victim to the adminstration's practice of labeling dissenting views as "unAmerican." For journalists and media outlets to dig deep to try and uncover any lies the administration was telling, would have been reputation/financial suicide.

That is what I thought you meant - it's still part of the cover-up. Since when has the media/journalists been unwilling to expose the government? The NSA leaks are just one example of the post-Watergate fast-track to fame mentality that drives much of the media.

One of the most vocal critics of 9/11 conspiracies is David Corn who is no fan of this administration.

This is a good point, but still, I believe to begin actively reporting the views of those who believe 9/11 may have been an inside job - is a whole other ballgame.

One of the most vocal critics of 9/11 conspiracies is David Corn who is no fan of this administration.

For every such person you can name, I can name 2 people with past affiliation with this administration - and list their credentials, who seriously question the official story and the 9/11 Commission's findings (with links so you can verify)...

1. Morgan Reynolds

Morgan Reynolds, PhD – Chief Economist, U.S. Department of Labor under George W. Bush 2001-2002. Former Director of the Criminal Justice Center at the National Center for Policy Analysis. Professor Emeritus, Economics, Texas A&M University.

Video: "I first began to suspect that 9/11 was in inside job when the Bush-Cheney Administration invaded Iraq. … We can prove that the government’s story is false." http://video.goo...

Essay: "It is hard to exaggerate the importance of a scientific debate over the cause(s) of the collapse of the twin towers and building 7. If the official wisdom on the collapses is wrong, as I believe it is, then policy based on such erroneous engineering analysis is not likely [to] prove to be sound." http://www.l...

2. Fred Burks

Fred Burks – Former State Department Interpreter for Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Vice Presidents Dick Cheney and Al Gore, Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright. 18-year State Department career.

Essay: "How is it possible that our military's highly touted missile detections systems could not locate Flight 77 in the 42 minutes it was known to be lost before it crashed into the heart of the defense system of the U.S. [the Pentagon]? …

"An even bigger question is why isn't our media asking these questions? Why isn't our military spending many millions of dollars to find out why military defense systems failed on 9/11? Why is it that the 9/11 commission budget was far less than the budget allotted to the Challenger Disaster or even the Monika Lewinsky affair?" http://www.wanttoknow.info/911star...

I suggested David Corn as evidence of someone in the media who has been staunchly anti-administration yet compelled to defend them against the lunacy of the 9/11 conspiracy theories.

To suggest that the media is afraid of investigating 9/11 conspiracy theories is completely absurd.
