Yes. Although Randle is a matchup nightmare.

I'm more worried about UK's length on D against our bigs.

I didn't count Randle but he it'd be interesting to see him guarding big guys like Stokes. But so far he's been content to play like a 3.

ZJC I know you don't know more than the average TN-BB-Joe but what do you think Edwards role will be this year? It seems his effort and defense has improved, looks like he really wants to play this year. He got legitimate (haha) minutes during the exhibition game, do you think he an grab an efficient amount of minutes this year? Do you think he can provide a 3 point stroke or an offensive touch?

I don't see it. Cuunzo is going with Moore and Davis. Six boards in ten minutes shows me something. That's impressive.

It's too bad Edwards didn't come here as a frosh. Very talented.

Unless he's a regular 3rd string wing, I'd guess he'd only get garbage time to prove his worth. His size warrants an opportunity; unfortunately, he doesn't have a great record so far. I would expect less than 10 mpg barring reports of him competing for PT against Moore, Davis, or possibly Hubbs. If he shows out in early games, he may get into the rotation. Jmo, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Hope he plays well though!

Not ZJC, but just my €0.05.

Not gonna lie, I completely forgot that this thread is supposed to be questions to ZJC lol. Sorry bruh! to both ZJC and iKrag!

I already answered a question 2. I thought it was for all the basketball forum people and all the posters that are not on here on a regular basis could ask questions. Maybe I'm wrong o well

i would like to know, why they don't use some zone on the defensive side of the ball ? they should use some just to mix things up a bit or am i wrong in thinking that ?

and will the full court press be used more this year or less ?

1st question we ran a 2-3 at some points last year
2nd question I believe we will run more press. We started to run the press later in the year last year. Their is nothing that tells me Zo won't keep doing that this year.

but shouldn't they be running more zone ? I'm a believer in giving the opposing team something different to see, especially if the man coverage isn't working to good

I'm just your regular fan. I do think I have some expertise in basketball but by no means am a true expert.

Either you're being modest or maybe I'm missing something....why would I or anyone want to ask you about a topic as broad and varied as 'basketball'...I'm sure there are people on here who know the intricacies and the history of the game, maybe some who played at a high level and can communicate elements of it well......
So as a public service I'll be taking questions as well...my credentials include I played High School basketball 44 years and 60 lbs ago, at 6'3” I could jump and touch the rim, and I had season tickets for almost 30 years...my area of expertise is how to eat any nasty thing you want to and yet avoid going into a coma and miss the end of the game on TV...:)

If we win @ Xavier and then go undefeated in B4A we'll be top 10 right?

I'd say so too. We beat Nova and ran the table in the pNIT in 2010 and climbed to #7 in the polls. I'd have to think your scenario would put us in a similar position.

What do you think UT's SEC record will be? Besides Ky and Florida, what other SEC teams (besides Tenn) will be competing for NCAA berths?

LSU, Missouri and Alabama will all be competing for a tourney bid, at least that's the thought. I think one of them likely makes it and the SEC is a 4 bid league.

As for UT's SEC record...somewhere between 12-6 and 14-4 should be expected IMO.

We'll see. I'm not a big believer in zone. Me and Sparty have argued about this for years.

I doubt you'll see much zone.

I got 14-4.

LSU looks good this year. Mizzou has talent. The SEC is decent this year.
