not really worth the argument. Just keep calling Colts fans "handicapped Indianapolis bandwagoners" and believing that the Oilers are TN's team
That makes no sense whatsoever. The only reason i root for the titans is because they ARE Tennessee's team, and i live in TN. They've sold out every game including preseason since they came to nashville. Seems to me Tennessee's adopted them pretty well. What the hell's wrong with being a homer? As for calling them the Oilers, well that's really just stupid. Whenever we play the colts, you don't hear me saying "well, we're playing baltimore again." The Chiefs were originally the Dallas Texans, so by your logic, they aren't Kansas City's team and their name isn't really the chiefs, it's the Texans.
The point is, we Colts get tired of being accused of being Colts fans just because Peyton. But the only reason most Titans fans are fans is because they now reside in Tennessee. So what is the difference if someone is a fan of a team because of one player and because a certain team happens to play in one's home state?
So why do you have the Cavs as a favorite team instead of the Griz? For me personally, it's just a state pride thing, i root for all teams from Tennessee, regardless of sport, college, or professionally.
I personally don't care if people root for the colts, even if it is because of manning, i'd be a hypocrite if i said i had a problem with it, because the only reason i root for the Cavs(except when they play the Grizzlies) is because of LeBron James. My problem with that post was simply the fact that he said the Titans weren't Tennessee's Pro team, and they are.
People are gonna root for who they want to. I just don't see what's so bad about people like myself who root for the hometown team.
