At least CBJ talks like a coach,,,,, dooley talked like a lawyer..........i believe he'll work out as a very good coach.

I like it.

Don't particularly love it (yet), but I like it. He won at both of his previous stops, and his players apparently loved the hell out of him.

I want to see what kind of staff he assembles and what he and said staff can do with this recruiting class.

I heard what I needed to hear at the press conference to not jump off of a cliff. I'll wait to cast further judgement until I have a chance to see the coaching staff he puts together and how he closes out this recruiting class over the next 60 days or so. I like a few things he said in his press conference but I'm not buying that Tennessee was his dream job. So you're telling me that you coached at Central Michigan, West Virginia, and Cincinnati just so you could get to Tennessee? What you meant to say was "Getting a job with a school LIKE Tennessee has been a dream of mine".

I've read quite a few comments from Cincy fans, and while they liked Jones, they feel like Kelly was a better coach.

Not a fan. But will be supportive until he shows me that he doesn't belong here.

I can see him getting some wins, but it's hard for me to believe that he is SEC Championship caliber.

At first I made a comment "Hell no I would rather have Fulmer" I was quick to assume just because Dooley beat him.

After learning more about him and seeing how the players like him. I admit I was wrong!

Like others i'm all in until he gives me a reason not to be.

Go Vols!

I don't know what the future is like but I'm sure not going to predict it to be horrible.

I picked Championship but I would have rather picked "Successful at Tennessee".

I will cheer for UT and him as long as I can.

After hearing/seeing the press conference, what do you think?

I'm good with the hire. Do I think we could've done better? Yes I do, but it is what it is. Let's see how he can recruit and how he is able to sell here. He has the potential to be something special. At the end of the day I can honestly say that I feel more confident in him to prepare a football team than a lot of coaches that were being thrown around in the mix.

I'm in what choice of you got. Why be negative and miserable for three more years. I'll crank back up in year 2 if it's still on the bottom. Good hire fits the level of this bottom feeding program.

If he brings in a good coaching staff and hires a good DC and OC he will be good for UT. I do think this is his dream job. If he recruits good then we will be ok. You do know his team was 2-1 vs Charlie Strongs team. I hope he keeps Chaney for the offense. And keeps Pittman and Graham. I know our O-line likes Pittman.

I was skeptical but the man was impressive in his press conference. I was pissed at Hart all week but he seemed together today as well. I hope the best for both of them and they have my support. It's up to the rest of Volnation to get behind OUR coach.

No offense but I'm already sick and damn tired of this argument. Dooley didn't beat Cincinnati, our players and their superior talent did.

Lets face it. Some coach every year will probably get the ax in the SEC. This year we had 4 - Arky, Awbarn, Ky and UT. Its a tough place to play and you better have your machine tuned right and ready to rumble.

IMHO, he will be 9-3 by his 3rd season considering the depths we're at (and the talent spread across the SEC) right now.

Few breaks, no injuries, some good recruits and creative offensive/defensive playing calling we might sneak up on a few.

If you gave me a choice between Fulmer and Jones. I would take Fulmer.

That being said I think he has a chance to win big here. I can't wait to see the team next season. I think we will see a totally different team next season. That's all speculation so we will see how it turns out.

As of now I'm all in.

And you would be sitting at maybe a 4-5 win season every year. Phil was good in his day, but he is past his prime. Jones is TBD, not sure what to expect.
