The only time I went to a cock fight was in Ponce Puerto Rico. I go there on business a couple times a year and one of the first time I was there I went to Church with a couple of the engineers I worked with right after church we went to a cock fight . I didn’t want to offend them or them or their culture so I keep my mouth shut, come to find out these guys were just to messing with me and thought I'd freak out, since then we’ve become good friends and keep in touch, but it was an interesting experience to say the least.

I've seen these threads before and nobody actually picks a place and time.
Winds up with nothing happening.
Someone please decide on a place and a time. I would love to do this....


I don't really know all the best places, but when I go to games I usually go to Calhoun's
(plenty of parking if you arrive early). They have that deck that overlooks the river. Seems a great place to meet to me. Just a suggestion....

I know I dont post as much as some, but I read everything and I would love to do this. And I go to every game so whenever would be good !!

Great idea, NOBODY will be there! Just kidding with you, but that place is insane on game day.

Best idea is to find somebody on here who has a circle park tag or other "tailgating friendly" parking pass. I'm in the garage, which is fine for a small group, but not for a big meeting like this. If somebody would volunteer, we could get an RSVP list and plan food/drinks accordingly, taking up money at the game (or sooner if people would send checks). Heck, we could even get a sign printed for publicity.

sounds cool. I have a parking pass beside Stokely which is an ok place to meet but may be crowded if we have a good turnout.

Just trying to get the ball rollin' there doc. I figured someone would have a better idea. I just hope it is something that can actually happen. It's a wonder to me that in the 18 months I've been around there has never been a get together...

The parking lot behind the Downtown Grill and Brewery could hold a large crowd. I'll make some calls and see if they are going to provide shuttles via the trolley system this year.

Not from Nashville though, I get back in July. I scheduled my 6 month deployment from Jan til July so that way I wouldnt miss football season !!! Come on I couldnt miss the Vols!

I think the "on campus" idea is good because it would allow those of us already parking nearby to walk over to the shin-dig/shennanigan. Hat, you are right on the lot behind DTGB being a decent shot for some space, though.

Another decent place would be the lawn in front of the frat houses. If someone got there early enough, you can claim all the space you need. Plus it's close to everything.

Just a thought.

If this turns out to be the 1st annual Volnation meeting I'm so in for next season if I gotta drink sams cola a whole year.
